Pricing & Licensing

Very Good Calendar Sync uses a freemium model. You can start using the app for free and upgrade when you need more.

Free Tier

Your first synchronisation between two calendars is completely free. No payment required, no time limit and you get the full functionality of the app.

When You'll Be Asked to Pay

You'll only see a purchase prompt when you try to add a second synchronisation. Until then, the app is fully functional at no cost.

Plans

When you're ready for unlimited synchronisations, pick the plan that works best for you:

  • Monthly: £1.99/month. Flexible month-to-month, cancel anytime. Includes a 2-week free trial.
  • Annual: £19.99/year. Best value, save over 15% vs monthly. Includes a 2-week free trial.
  • Lifetime: £39.99 one-time. One payment, yours forever. All future updates included.

What's Included

All plans include:

  • Unlimited synchronisations
  • All calendar providers (Google, Microsoft, iCloud, CalDAV, etc.)
  • Email support
  • A per-user license that covers all your Macs

Free Trials

The Monthly and Annual plans both come with a 2-week free trial. You can start a trial directly from the purchase screen inside the app. You won't be charged until the trial ends and you can cancel at any time during the trial.

What Happens When a Subscription Expires

If your subscription expires, your extra synchronisations are paused, not deleted. Your oldest synchronisation stays active (that's the one covered by the free tier) and any additional synchronisations will show a banner letting you know they're paused.

To resume them, open the app and choose a plan. All your paused synchronisations will pick up right where they left off.

Restoring Purchases

If you've previously purchased a plan and need to restore it (for example, after reinstalling the app or setting it up on a new Mac), you can do so from the purchase screen inside the app.

Managing Your Subscription

Subscriptions are handled through the Mac App Store. You can manage or cancel your subscription in System Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions on macOS.
